Diagnosis comes before the surgical decision
Vascular Lab is not presented as a surgery center. The clinic focuses on Doppler and duplex diagnosis first, so the patient and treating doctor can understand the problem before choosing observation, medical care, intervention, or surgical review.
When a vascular surgeon may be involved
A vascular surgeon opinion may be relevant for selected cases such as significant artery disease, diabetic foot circulation risk, aneurysm or pseudoaneurysm questions, vascular access problems, complex varicose veins, or findings that need procedural planning. Suitability is decided after clinical assessment, not by the website.
Surgical review available through the department
The vascular report can support procedure planning when surgical or interventional review is appropriate. Surgical and interventional review and treatment are available through vascular surgeons in the department; the individual clinician determines suitability after assessment.
